It’s the new year, a time to rest, to enjoy the warm and comfort of our relatives, a time for respite from our hectic day to day lives. As I sit on my bed after a long evening nap, the first one in an entire year of working at Autokinetics, I reflect on the ups and downs of the year gone by. Despite the hardships we all went through we have made it to today.
I am thankful for everyone who has supported us, those who purchased our services, those who had kind words of advice, those who took the risk to be the pioneer bunch of people for us to test out our new product line, those who shared their amazing life stories with us; adding vitality, depth and color to our existence, spurring us ever forward.
For the many who came 3 days leading to the new year, you may have met my uni and army friends from different disciplines, who despite the pride one would normally associate with their degrees and scholarships got down and dirty; carrying tyres, rims and passing me tools…. All without pay or a hint of reward….- Yes, Cairn Foo, I owe you a go kart trip to MLY, I wont forget ( not all 😉 )
It is then when I realize Autokinetics has succeeded, not as a company that pursues pure wealth as a benchmark of success but a company with a heart. Where my friends feel comfortable to be in, to get down and be a part of it. Where our customers are willing to share their stories with us and take pioneer product risks with us.
On this new years day I would like to share with you a few people that have touched our hearts. Mr Steven and his wife with their Brabus/ michelin supersport Mercedes, who gave us such warm and personal advice, taking the effort to find a good doctor for my sick partner.
The elegant lady(Name not shown out of respect for her) with her Black AMG replica dunlop sportmaxx TT C class. Who shared with us how she picked herself up after her divorce, starting a company without any business experience, to support her children who were only around the age of 3 and finally growing her business into large interior design company. She motivated and rekindled our drive to succeed.
Kevin and his wife, A Chef and hotel RM at MBS respectively, with his red Scirocco and BBK who allowed himself and his ride to be the tester for our first brake kit installation. His pioneering attitude, patience and focus on quality and finish, helped us to refine and improve all aspects of the brake kit installation, giving us confidence and ensuring that every customer after would have a trouble free and perfect installation. (He will soon be our pioneer Coil-over customer)
Nice “Christian” guy (didn’t get his name or religion, just hazarding a guess due to the tunes he played) who drove a KIA with stock rims and dunlop tyres, who took out his guitar and strum us a tune as we worked on his vehicle. Bringing us back into a reality where anything is possible and everyone can find that little magic and peace in life with the right attitude.
The “Family Man” and his Toyota wish, who brought his kids with him taking the effort to explain to his children the ins and out of why tyres are important and how the machinery at our shop functioned, reminding us of dedication, love and determination.
The “HOST” of friendly RAF personal, fighter pilots and ground crew, with their BMW’s, VW’s and Mitsubishi’s from paya lebar airbase who came down and support us with their referrals and friends.
While I can go on and on talking about each and every one of Autokinetics customers , I can’t due to time and space constrains, none the less all of you are important to us. I would like to thank everyone, who has came to us, regardless of whether you have supported us financially, each and everyone of you have left your mark and impression on us and our business. Growing Autokinetics, a business, with a heart, the way it should be.
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE, be happy and safe, may your lives be filled with the heights of wealth and the magic of life, in the year of the dragon.
Sincerely,
Bryan
